This is a very unique piece, likely a ?one off? handmade Primitive Pie Safe. The wood is painted to look like tiger oak and is the original faux finish using natural pigments available to the farmer. Hardware is original and though not visible in the photo the sides contain circular cutaway ventilation spaces covered in mesh. This piece would look perfect in any country kitchen or cabin.
